Legend of the Dragon Wins DoubleMax Review – Our Final Verdict

The term “immersive” is bandied about so much that it’s become a meaningless cliché. But the dramatic, cinematic score of this slot, punctuated by growling dragon noises, genuinely does suck you in.

Advertised as highly-volatile, it certainly delivered, and I found it hard to trigger the bonus organically. But I also spent most of the time obsessing over the multiplier, so it’s not something that particularly detracted from my enjoyment. Besides, the 86x fee to buy directly into the feature is hardly prohibitive. 

Fantasy slots are not my favorite genre, but I did really enjoy this December 2023 release. The game itself is easy to understand, while the DoubleMax multiplier can lead to some sizable returns.

My only criticism is that I’d have liked the DoubleMax mechanic to continue throughout the free spins bonus. But we can’t have it all.
