Unless you’ve heard the song before, the theme of this slot will make zero sense to you. Symbols include a disco ball, a taco and a love heart tattoo bearing the phrase “My Desire”.

Regular Symbols

There are ten regular symbols, starting with six playing cards ranked from 9 to A. These pay rewards of up to 1.25x whenever you’re able to match six on adjacent reels.

The four higher-paying symbols are a taco, disco ball, bell and a Mexican calavera skull. With a top prize of 25x, the latter is the most valuable of all. It’s also the only one that offers a reward for just two matching symbols.

Bells feature prominently throughout the history of slot games. But the one here, in tandem with the taco, is a reference to a fast food chain named in the song. Similarly, the disco ball calls back to the iconic lyric “fire in the disco”.

Wilds

There are two different wilds in Big Time Gaming’s Danger High Voltage slot, both of which can only appear on reels two through five. 

Wild Fire expands to cover an entire reel, substituting for all symbols aside from the scatter. Wild Electricity fulfills the same role, though you’ll receive a 6x boost for every one that features in a win. 

Scatters

The crown-wearing love heart tattoo, which bears the inscription “My Desire”, is the game’s scatter. This is one of several nods to song lyrics from the famous Electric Six track, and landing three of them triggers the bonus feature.

In addition, there returns of 6x, 20x, 50x and 100x are paid whenever three, four, five or six appear.

Upon activating the feature, you’re able to choose between two different games: Gates Of Hell and High Voltage.

The latter gives you 15 free spins, and a special High Voltage Wild symbol that can appear on reels two to five. These wilds substitute for all regular symbols, but they also charge wins by at least 11x, up to a maximum of 66x.

Danger High Voltage Review – Our Final Verdict

Electric Six was the first big band I saw live, way back in 2003, at the famous Barrowlands in Glasgow, UK. So, I have to admit right away, that I will almost certainly be massively biased in my review.

Still, if you’re as big of a fan as me, you’ll love playing Danger High Voltage, regardless of any features or technical details. Otherwise, you might be a little less impressed by the distinctly average RTP and graphics.

Those things don’t matter though. This game is just so much fun to play. Although the volatility is rated medium-high, I found it hard to trigger the bonus. But the entertaining base game offers plenty of wins.

Both bonus features are definitely worth waiting for, offering tantalizing rewards and the chance to listen to Danger! High Voltage in all its glory.

Although released in 2017, this remains one of my favorite slots, and is a game I return to time and time again.
