The name of this slot is German for “beer house”, or in other words, the pub. Set in a beautiful brick hall, the 5×4 reels contain various alcohol-related paraphernalia, including giant steins and barrels marked “bier”.

Wilds

A symbol featuring three large glasses of beer serves as the wild. It can replace any regular symbol to form wins. 

There is also a persisting wild symbol, which only appears during the free spins bonus. It looks just like the regular wild, only with a gold-colored border. As the name suggests, it remains fixed in place on the reels throughout the bonus. It can also substitute for regular symbols, but not Feature Symbols.

Bier Haus Review – Our Final Verdict

Although the basic premise of the slot is quite simple, it took us a while to grasp exactly how the free spins features work. Once you wrap your head around the different Feature Symbols, however, everything’s as smooth as a cold German lager.

From our experience, the standard free spins game isn’t really that rewarding, and it’s more important to trigger the Gold Feature. The Persisting Wilds make all the difference, especially if you’re able to bag more than five spins through extra Heidi symbols.

You can immediately tell this is an old game, as it’s missing a few core functionalities that we now take for granted. There’s no option to set up automatic spins, for instance. Nor is it possible to trigger a turbo mode. There’s definitely no Bonus Buy feature, either.

Still, despite its obvious age, the graphics aren’t all that bad, and the soundtrack is reasonably nice. A respectable maximum payout of 6,250x and an average RTP offer some appeal, though high rollers won’t enjoy the $40 per spin cap.
