Basic Details of the Bigger Bass Bonanza Slot
Bigger Bass Bonanza Details, RTP and Volatility
The first thing to note about Bigger Bass Bonanza is that the maximum potential win has increased from the first game. Although 4,000x could be considered small compared to more modern high-volatility titles, it’s still better than the 2,100x offered by the original.
That’s not the only thing that’s bigger, either. This sequel plays out on an increased grid of five reels by four rows, with 12 fixed paylines in play. A minimum bet size of $0.12 is available for casual players, while high rollers will love the $240 upper limit.
In terms of rewards, the RTP of 96.71% remains the same as the original. However, look out for the handful of casinos offering inferior rates of 95.67% and 94.62%.
Fishing rod icons are highlighted on reels 1 to 4. These pay a $72 win on a bet of $4.80, seen in the bottom-left corner.
Theme & Graphics in Bigger Bass Bonanza
Since the launch of Big Bass Bonanza, Pragmatic Play and Reel Kingdom have combined to produce over a dozen new slots in this series. They all have a similar look and feel, and Bigger Bass Bonanza is no exception.
Most of the symbols on the reels are identical to the original release, with very few tweaks. However, the backdrop has changed to a more tropical scene, while the soundtrack features something of an 80s electronica vibe. The main character returns with his trademark beard, only this time he’s sporting a rather fetching Hawaiian shirt.
Pragmatic Play followers will immediately recognize the familiar layout and control panel of Bigger Bass Bonanza. This is something which appears in all slots from this developer, not only the Big Bass games.
Bigger Bass Bonanza Slot Features
In the upcoming section of our Bigger Bass Bonanza review, we’ll take a detailed look at the slot’s various features and mechanics.
Regular Symbols
There are five playing card icons which serve as the game’s lower-paying symbols. The A, K, Q, J and 10 all pay identical returns of 10x the total bet for landing five on a payline. Smaller rewards of 0.5x and 2.5x are paid for matching three and four.
Four higher-paying regular symbols are based on the game’s angling theme. The tackle box and lure both return 50x for five on a payline, with 10x and 2x awarded when matching four and three symbols.
Next is the fishing rod, offering prizes of up to 100x, followed by the boat, which is the most-rewarding of all. Not only does this return 200x when you collect five on a payline, but you only need two of them to secure a prize.
Money Symbol
Fish symbols landing on the reels contain monetary values. These are multiples of your current bet, which range from 2x through to a possible 4,000x.
Landing three or four of these money symbols pays 1x and 5x. However, if you match five on a payline, you’ll be paid the total monetary amount. These symbols also play a key role in the free spins feature described later in our Bigger Bass Bonanza review.
Wilds
A photograph of the bearded fisherman holding a sizable catch is the game’s wild. Like most slots, it substitutes for regular symbols to create wins. However, it also plays an additional role during the free spins round, as you’ll soon discover.
Scatters
The scatter symbol is a depiction of a bass biting a hook and can appear on all five reels. Collect three, four or five of them to trigger ten, 15 and 20 free spins, respectively.
Free Spins
The free spins bonus is fairly straightforward, though there are a couple of twists. First of all, whenever a wild appears, it pulls together all of the money symbol values shown on the screen.
In addition, wilds are added to the progress meter above the reels. For every four collected, ten extra free spins are issued, along with an increased multiplier for money value symbols. The possible multiplier values are 2x, 3x and ultimately, 10x. After three retriggers, no extra spins can be awarded.
With 2 free spins left, visible beneath the reels, $18 is won so far. Two wilds are collected on the meter above the grid.
How to Play Bigger Bass Bonanza Online
It couldn’t be easier to play the Bigger Bass Bonanza slot. Select your stake using the plus and minus icons beneath the reel grid, then hit the button with two arrows to spin. You can also use the “Autoplay” option to configure as many as 1,000 hands-free rounds.
Match at least two boat symbols on any of the game’s 12 fixed paylines, or three of any other regular symbol, to win. Remember that they must line up from left to right, starting from the first reel.

Bigger Bass Bonanza Review – Our Final Verdict
This slot certainly lives up to its name. Both the reel grid and the maximum potential payout per spin are bigger than the original slot in the series. But is it better? Well, in truth, it’s more or less the same.
Aside from one or two minor cosmetic changes, the aesthetics are essentially identical. So, unless you have a preference for the 5×4 layout over 5×3, or Hawaiian shirts over traditional attire, you likely won’t even notice a difference. Even the free spins bonus feature remains unchanged.
The key variation between the two slots lies in the volatility. Pragmatic Play rates Bigger Bass Bonanza 5/5 compared to the original’s score of 4/5. This leads to a bigger potential reward that’s almost double that of the first game. However, it also means you’ll wait longer to trigger the bonus, so it’s swings and roundabouts.
