Theme & Graphics in Three Little Pigs

Fa Chai’s Three Little Pigs slot is clearly inspired by the famous fairy tale. Three porcine characters can be seen wielding tools above the game’s 3×3 grid, a reference to their house building escapades in the story.

Weirdly, though, there’s no mention of the other key character in this famous tale, the Big Bad Wolf. That surprising oversight leaves the theme feeling somewhat incomplete, a sentiment that continues throughout this extremely basic slot that really lacks interesting features.

A suitably enchanting soundtrack is a more positive aspect of this game, and it fits nicely with the overall vibe. However, it’s clear that this slot is only designed for mobile casino apps, as it displays poorly on a desktop browser.

The lowest-paying symbols are based on the classic BAR signs from fruit machines of old. A blue 1BAR returns 5x for three on a payline, while the orange 2BAR and red 3BAR symbols return 10x and 15, respectively.

Next is the corn, which pays 25x, followed by a watering can, wheelbarrow full of straw and a house. These return 50x, 100x and 200x each for three symbols on a payline.

Wild and Respins

There isn’t a traditional wild as such in this slot. However, if you manage to completely fill a single reel with any of the three pigs, a respin will trigger.

At this point, the triggering pigs change into a stacked wild, which remains in place for the duration of the feature. As you’d expect, the wild can substitute for any other symbol in the game to create winning opportunities.

Three Little Pigs Review – Our Final Verdict

In all honesty, this is a thoroughly underwhelming slot that’s as flimsy as a house made of sticks. The theme is a nice idea, though hardly an original one, but Fa Chai Gaming has somehow managed to leave out the star of the show.

With no wolf to add any jeopardy, and no free spins bonus to shoot for, the gameplay is pretty dull. You’re simply hoping to land pigs and trigger a respin to win a big prize. It’s a kind of “all or nothing” situation, as you won’t win too many prizes from the regular symbols.

The graphics are pleasant enough, as is the soundtrack. But there’s no point trying to play on anything other than a mobile device, as the layout looks terrible in a desktop browser. 

In fairness to the developer, at least the RTP is a little better than the average slot. While the broad betting limits ensure there’s something here for players of all bankrolls.
